New Base for Winter!

We have just succeeded in reaching agreement in principle with Hepworth and Idle Cricket Club (Westfield Lane) to use their changing facilities on Thursdays from August and both Tuesdays and Thursdays from mid September.  The charge will be £5 per member per year which we will pay from yearly membership fees.

Barbecue for Cricket Club Pavilion fund

We’ve just found out that our new cricket club are holding a barbecue to raise funds for their (our!) new pavilion.  So we’re off tonight (Sat. 4^th May at 6.30 pm) to support them. Come and join us if you want - it’s advertised to the public anyway.  We thought it would be a good move to support them.  

IDLE A.C. T shirts

Kay currently owns the only IDLE A.C. T shirt in the world.  However she has ordered some. It was money on order but she risked ordering a few extra so ask her if you didn’t order and you still want one.  I’m keen to get more shirts and of course vests on successful affiliation, but until then - please don’t wear them in races!

It generates complaints, and may impede our affiliation.

John Carr 5k Races

The next three Wednesdays see three 5k races from Esholt Sports Club (7.30 pm), which run on a flattish course round the sewage works. A few people will be involved.  Chris won’t be on his usual Wednesday run but may well be on a longish run on the Monday evenings if you want to join in.

Sundays

A small group met at 9.30 last Sunday and had a good steady run. We’ll keep on with this - just mention at the club if you’re thinking of turning up, but we’ll keep it as an informal fixed arrangement for when there isn’t a big race on…
