Membership Cards

We have now passed on current first claim members’ details to the NOEAA and membership cards have been distributed. In addition we will shortly be giving out ‘social membership’ cards received from Idle and Hepworth Cricket club, and membership cards from Idle A.C which include a copy of the club’s constitution.

Final Chance to win £5,000!

We have now received £50 worth of Hepworth & Idle Cricket Foundation raffle tickets. These tickets will soon be distributed free of charge to all paid up Idle A.C members. To receive the raffle tickets members must have paid their membership fees by Thursday 1st August (date when we transfer to cricket club).  However, there is one condition - if one of our members wins the first prize of £5,000 then they must donate a total of £500 back (£250 to Hepworth & Idle Cricket Club and £250 to Idle A.C).

The Move to Hepworth & Idle Cricket Club:

We will be starting to use the cricket club as our base for each Thursday commencing from Thursday 1st August and additionally each Tuesday commencing 17th September 2002. Tuesday speed sessions will continue at Apperley Bridge at 6:15 and 7pm until that date.

Fun Day at Hepworth & Idle Cricket Club - Sun 11th August 2002(Note change of date).

The Fun day has been put back a week because of the cricket final. Do go up and support the fun day if you can, though because of the short notice we won’t do the fun run on this day.

New members:

Idle A.C now has 24 members (including 4 second claim members) and we are delighted that members from our previous club have now joined us.  In addition we would like to welcome Ian Fisher who has joined Idle A C as a second claim member (first claim Otley A C). Ian lives very near to Idle and Hepworth and, as many of you may be aware, is somewhat ‘well known’ on the running circuit. We hope that our members will be encouraged by Ian’s interest in Idle A.C., as this shows us that we are now accepted (and recognised) as the club that we aspire to be.  We now have four ‘second claim’ members who run first claim for ‘established’ clubs - Pudsey and Bramley, Bingley Harriers, Otley A.C and Ilkley Harriers.

Invite from Pudsey Pacers - Thursday 22nd August.

Pudsey Pacers have invited us to join them for a run on Thursday 22nd August. Please  meet at Pudsey Leisure Centre at approx 6.45 pm for the 7.00 pm run (lockers, changing and showers available). After the run Pudsey have kindly offered to put on some food and have organised a quiz. Please support their efforts if you can!.
